  • Crane Trash Bins to Keep Riggers Out of Dumpsters

If you are using trash bins with a crane, they should be a boat skip like this, first and foremost. This is our fully mechanical version. If you are choosing a mechanical option, here’s what stands out about ours. The bale arm engages if the hook is anywhere near center of the bin. You can hoist up at a respectable pace and it will simply grab. This is partially because it’s designed to lay down when not in use. Others lean theirs forward so that the bin will lean back in use. This leads to scenarios where people have to push the arm around by hand. The arm can also be left vertical. If left vertical, it needs a safety device to prevent someone from knocking it over onto others. People could be killed if those safety devices are forgotten. We’ve removed the safety device and forced the arm to lay down to remove the hazard. More importantly, the removal of the safety latch makes it so the riggers and signal people have no reason to follow the bin into the dumpster where a plethora of hazards exist. We’ve removed a safety device that only serves to confuse people into unsafe acts.

Look at how smooth the dumping action is here. The operator, even with a load that doesn’t want to rotate around for him, can pick up, dump and return the load in 2 minutes. The rigger hooks up the load and simply signals the crane. Zero input or danger is found for the rigger if they just hook up and step back. The only safer system is with our fully automated system.
